Key Plant manufacture New Self Aligning Rotators (SAR) for large and small capacities ranging from 500kg to 1,000 ton. We also have used and second-hand fully refurbished equipment available. We hold an extensive quantity of SAR Rotators with different capacities and in our rental fleet.

SAR rotators normally consist of a set of rotators comprising of 1 Drive Unit which is the motorised machine and 1 Idler Unit, which is a free wheeling unit. The drive unit is supplied with a control panel and remote hand held pendant allowing the operator to change the rotation direction, stop the machine and adjust the rotation speed via a variable speed potentiometer.

Welding Rotators are designed to assist in fabricating and welding Pressure Vessel, Pipes, Wind Towers and Offshore work and primarily any work piece or component which is tubular. 

Welding rotators can be supplied with the option of rubber, polyurethane or steel wheels. They can be supplied with single, double or triple wheel configurations. There is no need to adjust the wheel carriages as the wheel centres are normally fixed, the rotators self centres to accommodate different pipe diameters, It does as the name suggests, it Self Aligns (Self Agiling Rotators).

The added advantage of this design is greater support as there are 8 points of contact (8 wheels supporting the workpiece as apposed to 4 on conventional rotators).These rotators are ideal for thin wall pipes.
  
Key Plant supply the option of Traversing Rotators. These rotators can travel manually or motorised on an undercarriage / base which is attached to the underside of the existing machines to enable the rotators to travel on rail.
