Key Plant’s association with the welding equipment market traces back over 45 years and during this time Key Plant has continued to supply, develop and update from the earlier manual welding process, through to our more recent fully automated turnkey installations. The business began in 1956 as Courtburn Welding acting as agents for Yates and Macobe Positioning Equipment. In 1980 Key Plant purchased Murex Positioning Equipment (MPE) from BOC. Following Bode Positioners demise in 2001 Key Plant purchased the ex Bode factory including machine tools, fabrication equipment, fixtures, the complete stores and spares departments with a large range of new and second hand Bode machines. After employing key ex-Bode personnel, Key Plant reorganised the factory and now operate their manufacturing facility from this site. Following a close association with Lincoln Electric over a number of years, Key Plant and Lincoln entered into an exclusive agreement in 2003 which covers the supply of Key Plant Positioning Equipment to the Lincoln Group of companies throughout Northern Europe. |
